    Food Sukiyaki Number 1, Bangkok

    Located around the back of the Montien Hotel, Bangkok. In amongst a number of Chinese restaurants & suspicious massage shops. Popular with the Japanese. 170 baht for a Suki meal.

    Very bold name, Sukiyaki No.1 hahaha

    Looks reasonably priced and a no-frills restaurant from the look of it. Taste I think very much dependent on the quality of beef and their special homemake sukiyaki sauce. If its in Rama IV, then nearest MRT should be Sam Yan.

    Not too far drive down from Thaniya, got time may just check it out.

    the beef is tender because rare papapya is used to marinate it; the dipping sauce includes reddish bean curb; if you can't park in front of the restaurant, leaving the engine runnng and someone will park it;

    the first time I visited this restaurant was in 1995
